Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) have been in popular use for over 50 years.

However it was during the early 1980's that a wider range of more modular, composite and flexible designs were introduced to the UK Market.

These designs were immediately accepted by Industry as a highly versatile medium for storing and transporting raw materials in quantities above the standard 200 litre drum whilst remaining more versatile and manageable than road tankers.

Today we see the IBC market having grown exponentially both in the UK and Internationally to become a dominant force in the storage and movement of both dangerous and non dangerous goods around the world, with an impeccable safety and environmental record.

With a wide range of sizes, designs and materials, able to accommodate anything from powders, light liquids and high viscosity products in both hazardous and non hazardous states - the only problem users have is which one to choose!

The IPA can help this choice by identifying the market leaders and their product ranges - as shown on the chart of IPA Member Products & Services within this web site.

We can not only help you make the best choice of new product, but can also help with the options for most efficient, and cost-effective, life-cycle through re-use and recycling options.

The IPA represents both IBC Manufacturers and Reconditioners - all working to the latest U.N. ISO, CEN & BSI standards for Transport, Safety, Environment and other applicable international regulations.

Please use this site as an ideal start point for making the best, informed choice of packaging products - and contact us if you would like any additional information.
